Overview
The 2027 Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival will be held at Lake Shikotsu Onsen from January 30 to February 23. Its ice structures are created by spraying Lake Shikotsu water over frameworks. In daylight they show the natural blue tones known as "Shikotsu Blue," while after dark they are illuminated in multiple colors. The venue is open from 10:00 to 20:00, with illumination from 16:30 to 20:00.
