Kushiro Port Festival is a three-day summer festival held in early August, marking its 79th edition in 2026 with dates of August 7-9. The festival opens with a fireworks display over the harbor on August 7, followed by a citizens' dance parade along Kitaodori on August 8 and a music parade through the same street on August 9.
